The final process of the Birth Certificate Apostille could be completed from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Apostilization of the Birth Certificate is not mandatory for those who got the transit visa or tourist visa for any Hague Conventional Country (HCC).

In this process the Birth Certificate will be Attested from the Home Department, Mumbai after that the Birth certificate will be Attested from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and finally the Birth Certificate will be Legalized or Attested from the Embassy or the Consulate of the Destination country. The said process is India’s most trusted and oldest process. In this process the Birth Certificate Attestation or Legalization is cost as well as time saving.

After completion of Apostille of the Birth Certificate from Ministry of External Affairs or from the Embassy / Consulate it could be translated into the national language of the destination country. The Apostilled, Attested or Legalized Birth Certificate could be translated into French, Spanish, Czech, Arabic etc. languages and it depends on the destination countries internal policy. Translated Birth Certificate could also be required at the time of processing visa. Some country never requires the translated Birth Certificate after Apostille, Attestation or Legalization.
